Around the House

Just a few pictures of life around the house this Winter.  Avery got a Rapunzel wig from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas that she wore so much we almost forgot what her real hair looked like.  She still wears it often now, although it doesn't quite look the same anymore... how Rapunzel got through and hour and a half adventure movie without a single tangle is a mystery to me.  The beautiful condition of the wig only last about 10 minutes in our house.  But she still loves it!

Rapunzel

Not to be outdone, Norah also has had quite few turns in the wig (when she can get it out of Avery's hands).

Avery got a Doc McStuffins doctor's kit for Christmas as well and has had a great time giving every member of the family, every doll, and every stuffed animal regular check ups.  Nellie the cat is not immune (see the stethescope?).

In order to get my Adoption Assessor certification I had to spend one or two days a month away from home from starting in Aug 2012 through March 2013.  For this stay at home momma, it was hard to be away from my girls!  Erich was able to arrange his schedule to be off work on those days for the most part (thanks Grandma and Grandpa for your help on the days he couldn't!).  He did a great job holding down the fort and made sure to text me quotes and photos of what was going on throughout the day.  I even came home to flowers after one of my trips.  What a guy!

A sweet moment captured on film... Norah saying her name for the first time.  We love celebrating each milestone with this precious girl...

... even the messy ones, like learning to feed herself with a spoon.  She's a sweetheart!
