Our little fish

Avery had her first visit to the pool! Our YMCA has an indoor heated swimming pool (used for physical therapy during the week but open to all members on the weekends) and we figured it would be the perfect way to introduce Avery to the water. It basically felt like being in a big bathtub with nice warm water! I think it was pretty soothing for her. She never cried or seemed upset, but she never got super excited either. She just seemed to kick back and relax in Mommy and Daddy's arms and enjoy the experience.

Looking cute in her little swimsuit

At first it looked like she didn't know what to think

But she soon decided this swimming thing was pretty neat and had fun chilling in the water

It's cold out here! Let's go home

What a cutie!

My mom took this darling photo when she was up to babysit a few weeks ago. I didn't realize she was a budding photographer! Thanks for the precious picture Grandma!

Technical difficulties...

Erich, Avery, and I had a wonderful visit to Marysville last weekend. We loved visiting with family and relaxing together. We took a lot of pictures of the weekend's events and as I eagerly dowloaded them all to the computer last night so I could blog about it, I went wrong somewhere and they all got deleted! Ugh! Thank goodness Grandma Kelley came to the rescue and kindly shared her pictures with me so that I can share them with you. Thank you Grandma!

Apparently she used up all her smiles on G&G, and we got the leftovers. Oh well. (Thanks for the adorable dress Jen!)

On Saturday night most of the family was able to get together for dinner and Avery served as the centerpiece. She makes a pretty good one, don't you think?

We were glad we got to hang out with Aunt Shannon, Aunt Kristen, and cousins Spencer, Katie and Will. We missed Uncle Paul (who was out of town a mission trip), cousin Karly (who was sick), and Uncle Travis (who was taking care of poor sweet Karly)

We enjoyed a fun visit with Great Nana K. While were there Avery put on a great show and surprised us all by rolling over from her back to her tummy for the first time. Now that she can roll both ways the real fun begins. Time to baby proof the house! We were glad Nana K. got to witness the big event with us.

Swinging on the deck with Grandma. I think she liked it.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Just chillin on the hammock...

4th of July Fun!

What a great weekend we had! Erich, Avery, and I travelled to Stow to spend the 4th of July weekend with our Piland family. As always, we had a great time visiting with Nana, Papa, and Aunt Nikki. However, this weekend was extra special because Avery's Uncle Evan, Aunt Passa, and cousin Cara were in town from Texas. It was their first time meeting Avery and we had grand plans of getting many pictures of these two baby cousins together. We even got them matching outfits! Getting a 3 month old and a 1 year old to sit still and smile for a picture was much harder than we expected. Most of them turned out like this:

Or like this:

Believe it or not, this is the best picture we got of the two of them together. They aren't looking at the camera, but at least they aren't crying!

Saturday morning we walked down the street for a pancake breakfast and the annual Stow 4th of July parade. Thanks to a gift from cousin James (who is currently stationed in Germany), Avery had a very festive outfit to wear! (Mommy insisted on adding the pink bows to give it a feminine touch)

Here's another shot of our camo girl. She LOVED the swing at Nana and Papa's!

After the parade, we headed to a family cookout at Uncle Jerry and Aunt Pam's. It was great to see the extended family and show off our pretty girl. Avery changed into her party dress for the occasion.

Here are a few other pictures from the weekend. We had a great time and were sad to leave. It's always a blast spending time with our families. We can't wait to see Evan, Passa, and Cara again soon!

Red Rover, Red Rover Let Avery ROLL OVER!

Avery has started rolling from her tummy to her back! She's never been a fan of "tummy time" and seems thrilled that she's found a way out of it. Look at this cute face...

And now, for your viewing pleasure... (this is our first attempt at posting a video, hopefully it works!)
