Norah had an opportunity to follow in her big sister's footsteps and do some modeling for toy packaging through Little Tikes. She is such a little cutie, of course we weren't surprised when she was called for a photo shoot! We jumped at the opportunity and made the drive to the Little Tikes corporate offices in Akron for the job which we were told would take 15 to 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, we had backed up their schedule for the day, broken the toy that was being photographed, frustrated some very nice photographers, and Norah had developed quite a reputation. She had a great time doing her thing, but that's the problem... she was doing HER thing, not anything the photographer asked her to do! She was happy and laughing, but would not sit still, would not play with the toy, would not look at the camera... she was marching to her own beat. In the end they told us that they might be able to edit a couple of the photographs and splice them together to make something they could use on the toy box, but they couldn't make any promises and they might not be able to use her, we'd just have to wait and see. 6 months later, we were walking through Toys R Us and saw this precious little picture on the toy store shelf:
She made it!
Avery was excited and proud of her little sister. Norah didn't really get what was going on.
The cashier was so sweet and thought it was a really big deal that there was a celebrity in the store. She was super cute with Norah and had us all laughing.
The toy was musical measuring cups and spoons. Norah has had fun playing with it but by the time it came out she was a little old for it. I think Paige will really enjoy it in a few months!
I can't say I'm shocked that Norah hasn't had any more calls for modeling gigs. She might have been black listed. But I love that she got to try it out and we have a fun story to tell now from the crazy experience. She's a silly kid with a spunky personality. We love her so!
