If You're Irish, Come Into the Parlor...

... there's a welcome there for you. And if your name is Timothy or Pat, so long as you come from Ireland there's a welcome on the mat!

Every year I look forward to hearing the lyrics of that song playing through the house as we jig (Kelley style), laugh, and toast our green 7up in honor of Grandpa Kelley.  As a kid, the Ruby Murray record only played once a year... on March 17th.  20 years later Ruby's voice still plays, only now it's on cd!  This year we all gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house for our annual tradition with the added joy of having Nana K. as the guest of honor.  Everyone wore their green, enjoyed delicious snacks (shamrock cookies, yum!), and jigged around the house.  Avery made it her mission to dance with everyone and her boundless energy kept her going long after everyone else had tired out.  The girl loves to dance!

Sweet Avery and Momma. Avery worked up quite a sweat that night!

It was Erich's first time experiencing the Kelley St Patrick's Day shenanigans.  He did a great job jumping right into the craziness!

I had to include this picture of Avery riding a bike down in Grandma and Grandpa's basement during our St Patrick's Day visit.  She's wearing a tutu that was mine from one of my many years of dance as a kid.  What fun to have little girls of my own now that get to play dress up with my old recital costumes!
