Easter in Perrysburg

We spent Easter in Stow at Nana and Papa's this year. Since we were out of town on Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny hopped our way a few days early.  He hid Avery's Easter basket in the dryer (which Avery thought was hilarious).  Since Norah is just a baby he took it easy on her and just had her's tucked away in a corner of the living room. Big sister helped her find it.  As you'll see from the short video, Avery was pretty excited to get the show started, but we made sure to take time and talk about the reason we celebrate Easter.  This year we got the girls a set of Resurrection Eggs.  What a fun way to tell the story of Jesus and help kids understand what He went through for our salvation. After hearing the story of Easter, we had fun finding the baskets.  Avery made a craft for her grandparents and had a great time.  We used shaving cream and paint to create a marbled effect on a variety of Easter shapes.  It turned out really cute!

She was excited. The girl has spunk.

Opening the Resurrection Eggs with Daddy.  Norah was sick with a cold and teething, but still managed to find a couple of smiles for us.

Avery's basket included a lot of little odds and ends, but she was most excited about the Melissa and Doug cookie set and the Children's Bible.  The cookies remain one of her most played with toys and we're currently on our second read through of the Bible.  What a joy to share our Faith with our girls.

Norah's basket had new bottles, puffs, a little cherry outfit, and a couple other things... I was most excited about the book she got. "The Monster at the End of this Book" was one of my favorites as a kid and even though Norah is still a little young for it, I couldn't wait to get it for her.  I hope she enjoys it as much as I did!

I'm still working on perfecting my Grover voice.  Thanks to Avery, I'm getting plenty of practice.
