French Fries, Fishing, and Fireside Fun

A few weeks ago we travelled down to Paul and Kristen's house in Powell for a night of fishing and smores with Grandma, Grandpa, and the rest of the Kelley family. On the drive down, we stopped for a quick dinner at McDonalds where Avery had her first fast food experience. Chicken nuggets and french fries... yum! She was a big fan. We had a great evening with the fam at Paul and Kristen's. They have a pond in their backyard where the fish were biting like crazy which kept the men and the kids busy while the ladies sat around the fire and chatted. Avery kept herself busy climbing all over the lawn chairs and diving head first into the mud (it had been a very rainy week!). By the end of the night she was covered in dirt from head to toe, but she had a blast.

Sharing a french fry with Daddy

She loved drinking her milk straight from the container (instead of her usual sippy cup) which resulted in huge smiles and an even huger mess. Hence, this happened...

Naked baby! That's right, we had to strip her down to her diaper in the middle of the restaurant to wipe her down and change her clothes. Milk was everywhere!

Grandpa and Spencer fishing

Grandma and Katie with one of the nearly 30 fish that were caught that night

Aunt Shannon and cute baby Oliver. Love that chubby baby!

All of the cousins sitting still long enough for a photo (Avery had to be bribed with a cracker to get this shot)

I want to eat her up.

It had been a couple years since we had a family photo with everyone in it. Notice Avery is once again naked. It's hard to keep clothes on that girl. It's only been a few weeks since this was taken and it's already outdated. Baby Sophia, our new niece was born June 30th. Congrats Paul and Kristen!

  1. There are no words to tell you how happy these pics make me. Now I know you've been very busy but it's time for more. How about of the new house too? When you have time of course. But just know there's someone in St. Louie waiting anxiously!
