Erich had to work on Avery's birthday so we decided to take the party to him! I made banana spice cupcakes (Avery and Daddy both love all things banana), we loaded Norah in the stroller, and we headed to the hospital. We didn't stay long, but in the short time we were there almost all of Erich's co-workers made a point to stop into the break room, wish Avery a happy birthday, and ooh and ahh over baby Norah. At one point they all sang to her and Erich gave her a special present. ICU nursing is fast paced and it meant a lot to us that everyone was willing to step away for a minute and give Avery some special attention. We love visiting Daddy at work!
Avery wasn't feeling particular compliant with the picture taking, hence the silly face. And Norah was there, but tucked safely in the stroller which in my mind has an invisible protective shield surrounding it. No hospital germs for our baby, please!
