Nellie's revenge

Nellie's had it. For months she's been chased, she's been tackled, she's had her tail yanked and her fur pulled.

She's been shut in a box

And shoved in the toy chest

And through it all she's been nothing but patient and tolerant. But the other day Nellie snapped.

The result was a big old scratch that goes under Avery's eye and all the way down her cheek. Erich has been lovingly calling her "Scarface". Avery cried when it happened, but quickly recovered and went right back to her usual ways of "loving" Nellie. She wasn't phased (which probably isn't a good thing. A little bit of healthy fear would be good for the girl). I feel bad for Avery, but quite frankly... she's had it coming for a long time. Don't know what we are going to do with those two.

(In all fairness to Nellie, I don't think it was entirely intentional. She doesn't have front claws, only back ones. I think Avery was pulling her tail and Nellie was just trying to get away.)
